Maple Brook Engineering, Inc. is an Oregon-based civil engineering firm offering engineering design services for residential and commercial buildings. MBE is committed to providing high-quality thorough designs with timeliness, our client's budget, and constructability in mind.
We offer a myriad of structural services. We currently accept only selected work from referrals, repeat clients, and occassional new clients. Some of the engineering services we offer include:
New Construction Design
Additions, Remodels & Rehabilitation
Designs utilizing Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs)
Site and Retaining Walls
On Site Observation Services
Existing Structures Inspection & Evaluation
SIP Design Expertise : While we have experience designing with wood, masonry, steel, and concrete, we have also had extensive experience designing structures built with structural insulated panels, or SIPs. They are an excellent building product that many engineers do not understand. After years of designing with SIPs, speaking with contractors who use them, and providing various educational seminars and conferences, we are one of the few engineering firms that specialize in quality structural designs using SIPs.
Construction Background:
Our principal engineer has experience working in the construction industry, and we place a high emphasis on ease of construction in our designs. We seek out licensed engieners and engineers-in-training who have framing experience. This working knowledge of construction practices reduces the number and complexity of questions arising during the construction phase of your project. Our focus is on the timely completion of the entire building project, not just the design phase.
Actively Providing Education:
Maple Brook Engineering, Inc. actively participates in providing education to architects and design professionals, building departments, colleges and universities, contractors, homeowners, and others with the Sustainable Structures Association, Inc. We are also a regular contributor to their monthly newsletter. By being actively involved in education, we find it helps us improve the industry and better understand trends and needs in the Western US.
